The wool used for this crib underblanket is Woolmark and OEKO-TEX 100 certified. When you receive a wool pad, it will have a (slight) sheep scent. This is normal for the product and is due to the lanolin. Some can appreciate the smell, others a little less. If you get a little less excited about it hang the blanket to air it out first. It probably won’t go away completely but it will be significantly reduced.
