Which payment methods do you accept?
iDEAL, Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Klarna (pay later or in 3 instalments) and Apple Pay. For wholesale orders, payment by invoice is possible.

Can I still change or cancel my order?
Email us as soon as possible at info@lille-barn.com with your order number. As long as the order hasn't yet been handed over to the courier by us, we can still make most changes.

Will I get a confirmation after my order?
Yes – right after the order you'll receive a confirmation by email. As soon as the parcel is on its way, you'll get a second email with a track & trace link. No email received? Check your spam folder or email us.

What are the shipping costs and delivery times?
Within the Netherlands we ship free from € 65, below that it costs € 4.95. Delivery time 1–2 business days. To Belgium and Germany € 6.95 (free from € 75), 2–3 business days. To the rest of the EU € 9.95, 3–5 business days.

Do you also ship outside the EU?
On request – send us an email with your address and we'll prepare a shipping quote. Please note that any import duties and VAT in the receiving country are at your own expense.

Is your packaging plastic-free?
Almost entirely. Parcels are shipped in a recycled cardboard box, sealed with paper tape. The round sticker is made of bioplastic. We use no plastic for shipping.

How do returns or exchanges work?
You have 90 days to return your order – unworn, unwashed, with the label still attached. Register the return via the form in our webshop. Within the NL return costs are € 4.95, beyond that at the customer's expense. Refund within 5 business days after receipt.

My garment has a defect – what now?
Very annoying, but we'll sort it out. Email us within 14 days of receipt a photo of the defect with your order number to info@lille-barn.com. We'll send a replacement free of charge, or repair it if possible.

Which size should I choose for my child?
Our clothes are cut generously, so they grow with your child. Torn between two sizes? Choose the smaller one – wool stretches slightly after washing. On every product page you'll find a size chart in cm. Personal advice? Email us your child's age, height and weight.

Does wool shrink after washing?
Not if you wash it the right way. With too warm a wash or mechanical washing, wool can felt and shrink. Read the washing instructions below – then the fit stays good for years.

How do I best wash woollen clothing?
Wool is naturally self-cleaning – often airing is enough. Do want to wash? Use the wool programme at 30°C, a mild wool detergent, and no fabric softener. Not in the dryer. Drying flat on a towel preserves the shape.

Doesn't merino wool itch on babies?
No. Merino wool has a fibre thickness of around 18.5 microns – fine enough to be worn directly on the skin, even on sensitive baby skin. It is also temperature-regulating: warm when it's cold, cool when it's warm.

My garment has started to pill – is that a defect?
No, that's somewhat part of it. Pilling forms through friction and is typical of natural wool. After a few washes it decreases. A wool or fabric shaver gently removes the pills and your jumper looks as good as new again.

Where is lille-barn produced?
Part in Asia, close to the source of Australian and New Zealand merino wool – at an AMFORI BSCI certified atelier. Another part in Lithuania, with local wool, produced entirely within one country. Read our whole story on the sustainability page.
