Our second son, Bo, came into our lives with more than we had bargained for: endless reflux, soaking-wet shirts, and a little boy who simply refused to sleep. We tried everything. Nothing worked for long.

Until someone at daycare suggested we try wool. Honest fibres that hold warmth without storing moisture — exactly what a restless little body needs. It worked. Bo slept. We slept. And the fabric stayed surprisingly dry even in the wettest moments.

But this was 2020, in the middle of a lockdown where online shopping was the only option. Finding beautiful woollen clothing — in soft quality, in colours that made us smile — simply did not exist. Not for Bo. Not for other babies. So we sat down together at the kitchen table and started designing what we couldn't buy ourselves.

That is how Lille Barn came to be. Not a fashion brand — an answer to one very long night.
