<h2>Caring for a wool crib underlay</h2>

We recommend washing the wool crib underlay as little as possible. Ventilation is often sufficient to make the pad smell fresh again. Speaking of smelling fresh, a wool crib pad can have a (sometimes quite strong) sheep scent when purchased. This will go away automatically, but if you find it very unpleasant, first let the pad steam in the mist or in a steamy room. For example in the bathroom in the steam from the shower. Older washing machines often first run cold water into the drum, which causes the wool to shock and shrink. Wool can also shrink from (too) cold water.</p>
