Wool crib blanket, single-layer or double-layer?
We offer single-layer and double-layer merino wool crib blankets . The name says it all: double-layer wool crib blankets are twice as thick. Double-layer merino wool crib blankets are perfect for colder seasons. Double-layer wool crib blankets have a TOG rating of 4. If your child sleeps in a cold room where the temperature drops below 16 degrees Celsius at night, or if the room is very drafty, a double-layer crib blanket is a good choice.
Single-layer wool crib blankets are a great choice for most babies. They can be used in spring and autumn. If the child's room is heated and the temperature doesn't drop below 16 degrees Celsius, a single-layer wool crib blanket can be sufficient even on really cold days, combined with wool pajamas, a sleeping bag, and/or a wool underlay . Single-layer merino wool blankets have a TOG rating of 2.
